My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in Mathematica. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom are preparing to be 21st century learners, future ready! By providing a classroom learning environment with new stools and a classroom rug, this will allow for individual, small and large group seating, as well as an opportunity to stand if that style of learning best suits my students’ needs. Think about when you go to meet a colleague at a local coffeehouse that’s the type of workspace we are looking to create. These outstanding students have traditionally fallen within the lowest 25th percentile of all students in our school for reading and / or math. By providing them this opportunity, coupled with consistency of the same math teacher for two years, they will surely make great educational & social gains!
