My students need hands on activities to grasp abstract concepts. Many are special needs students, who are below grade level. They are from traumatic backgrounds and need school to be fun and exciting. Kinetic activities are essential to further their understanding of science concepts. Most of my students are not traditional learners, so they need additional stimulation much more than the average student does. But as a teacher, I am greatly hampered by the lack of state or district funding necessary for students in EES programs. I hope donors will realize that we need them now more than ever, and their generous contributions will have a tremendously positive impact upon these very worthy kids.
