We know even as adults that fractions can be tricky! For students they are one of the hardest concepts to learn. I am hoping these fraction tiles will help my more visual learners see exactly how fractions work! Howard Gardner stresses the "multiple intelligences". The fraction tiles will help my students who are kinesthetic learners get a fair chance at understanding the concept of fractions as they are able to take pieces apart and show different ways to make equivalent fractions. I am willing to try anything to make fractions a little easier for students to learn and if I have the fraction tiles the students can use them to help in any way possible!
