In a state adopting the Common Core Standards, preparing the students for college and career is essential. The students at my school come from an area of hardworking families, most of whom have immigrated here and have adopted English as a second language. The students desire to be in after school activities and learn new skills to use in the outside world, but that will also prepare them for a successful educational career. Our school was built to end the overcrowding in the other schools in the area and has a focus on readying its students for high school, college, and career by promoting excellence. Our school encourages students to join extra-curriculars that are academic, athletic, and fine arts.

About my class
