My students are some of the absolute best in the world! I have amazing kids who work harder than any kids I have ever met. I am working to try and support many students across the grades at Lessie Moore. Many of our students have issues with sensory processing disorders and we need to be able to supply them with simple tools to help reduce the "noise" of the day. Headphones to cancel the sounds and weighted blankets to feel safe and secure, a liquid timer to zone out for a minute... all of these things may sound simple to you, but to a child with a sensory processing disorder, they could make the difference between a bad day and a great day. Someone taking the time to understand their needs could change the course of their educational career. To see their needs and not be able to meet them is hard. We appreciate any help you can give us. Thank you for your constant support and encouragement!
