I have the privilege of teaching a group of curious and inquisitive fifth grade students in California. With a group of diverse learners in my class, my students thrive on hands-on activities. Through projects that offer art, role play, and cooperative groupings, each child can deepen their understanding beyond what we read in the textbook and gain perspective on historical events. With the help of Disneyland's CREATE grant, I hope to enrich my student's learning by having them participate in Colonial Day where they will spend a day in the life of an American colonist.

About my class
