There are so many benefits to children playing with dolls. Children start to use their hands more helping develop stregth when dressing and undressing the dolls. Dressing and moving the doll around dramatically imporves motor skills. Children work on speech as they work to talk to the doll. Creating imaginary scenarios for their dolls, allows children the ability to see beyond themselves and understand the reprecussions of actions. It helps childrend develop a sense of empathy for others. Children learn to share and help each other take care of the dolls. Most importantly, when they are "taking care" of their dolls, it teaches children compassion and selflessness.
