I have 20 precious first graders who LOVE stories and are so excited about learning to read! My students are from varying backgrounds with various levels of family support. Many of my students have not had the necessary "lap time" to hear stories being read. Providing this opportunity will increase the exposure to good literature and the amount of time the children hear fluent and expressive reading. This will have a positive effect not only on their reading ability, but also their love of reading.

About my class
