My hope is to add interest to my lessons by infusing some personal media device assignments that will allow individual flexibility. Students can log on to applications and learning programs in class as part of a lesson, and continue the activity with peer-partners and also on their computer at home. That Quiz.org, Aleks.com, Brainscape Flashcards, Woot!, Quizlet, Brain Pop, and Imagine Math are a few that we use in my district. More than 2 students on a tablet will reduce the interaction with an activity, so 1 tablet per learning pair is the best ratio. The students will be able to choose their comfort level within learning programs by specifying levels, number of problems, area of study, and personal interest research. The pairs of students can team up according to level of learning or area of interest depending on the activity.
