My students are working on their voices in writing. We have studied about tone, voice and point of view in writing. They have looked at various short novels and poems to see how authors have infused certain emotions and tone with their words in their writing. My students are demonstrating their ability to craft their authentic voices into their writing via word choice and tone. They are creating writing pieces that they will share with their peers during group and individual presentations. My students are tapping in on their natural talent as writers, artists and performers. Having a karaoke sound system and mic will help them to have their voices lifted and heard while allowing them an additional layer of professional tools to use to do it.
