I work with a third grader who stutters. She worries about speaking in front of others. She is afraid of letting her friends down. She also is worried about an audition in music class coming up. I have students that have trouble speaking and making their needs and wants known. Most of the students come to the speech therapy room two times a week for thirty minutes to work on their goals. This speech therapy room needs to be a calm, comfortable place where they can relax. They can let their guard down and be themselves. They can work on tasks that are hard for them.

About my class
