My students are so excited to be the oldest students in our elementary school. We spend the year preparing for middle school. They are thrilled to be able to have 3-ring binders with dividers for each subject. The difficult part is that their desks do not provide them with ample space to store these necessities. Organization is key for student learning. Being able to store and retrieve their work in a timely manner makes difference between a student who is engaged and focused and one who is searching frantically for something misplaced.
