I am so excited to be part of Donors Choose. I have been an educator for over 30 years, in the Bronx, and it is so important to pair with outside organizations that are willing to help students and their teachers. I have the best students, who are not always given the best opportunities outside of school, but I want them to thrive and feel positive during school and beyond. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my former students succeed in life. When math includes real life situations and hands on activities the students soar. They cannot wait to come to math class. This project that we will work on will be math at personal level. Surveying our school, organizing and displaying the data will be a wonderful and engaging learning experience for all of us.
