I teach at a Title I, low-income school and many of my students do not have books at home to be able to read and enjoy. Ours is a school that not only educates but also builds relationships with students. They all come with their own struggles which can make learning difficult. I want them to come to class excited every day about the new adventure awaiting them in these books!
