Several years ago, we were given classroom rugs. However, over the years they have begun falling apart and are quite dirty and tattered. Sadly vacuuming does not quite do the job any more; this rug is beyond repair! Having a meeting area rug that is clean, soft, and inviting will create a warm and welcoming space for my students to learn and play in. Class meetings are a HUGE part of our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum. We need a meeting area where children will feel safe and comfortable so that our class community can grow together. By having a set space for our class meetings, all children will come to school each day knowing exactly where they belong. They will be able to sit in a clean and comfortable spot that is always theirs; I truly believe this will add structure to our day and build confidence in my students.
