For next school year, I will be a first year teacher of some pretty wonderful first graders! They are all in the age range between 6 and 7. My school has over 50% of it's students on free and reduced lunch, and from low-income homes. Given the school's location, we are also home to many Hispanic ELL students (some of which only speak Spanish). I am asking for some different necessities I believe will make my students successful. Some of which include: flexible seating, and math manipulatives. I believe these tools are needed to make my students comfortable, engaged, and active in their learning. These children are so sweet and so deserving. I truly believe anything will help these little ones conquer first grade with their very enthusiastic and excited new teacher!
