My students arrive to my library eager to listen to stories, explore different genres and appreciate literacy. I serve roughly 600 students each week. Our student population is 99% Hispanic with almost 100% free and reduced lunch. The children love learning and reading but do not have the resources to practice these skills at home or during library time. The children love using devices and technology although it is scarce. While I offer what I can, I strive to offer them more.
