My 6th graders have trouble reading, so the Bingo games will help with their reading decoding skills, grammar and punctuation. The literature books will help with starting a classroom library. The crayons, colored pencils and stencils will help with classroom projects and crafts. The colored pencils will help students to highlight reading passages in their texts and workbooks. I also let my students draw a picture to go with their daily journal topic. My students at times can feel stressed out at school, and arts and crafts help to make them feel better and relieve their anxiety. They love to draw and color their pictures.
