I am a teacher librarian for two low-income schools in my district. My time gets split equally by spending every other week at each school. I work with K3 - 5th grade at both schools. What I love about my job is the ability to really help each and every student in the school. Both sets of students are unique and it is my privilege to get to know them all. I also enjoy teaching students to love the library again. It is more than just a place to come check out books. It is teaching students the love of reading whatever they want, instead of what is at their level (which they do in the classroom). I incorporate STEM projects, arts and crafts, technology, and simple read aloud to all ages of students. You can also help students learn to love the library and books again through your donations!
