My classroom is filled with developing readers and writers. My students are eager to read more difficult books that peak their interests and write books that are catch their readers attention. I have a range of developing readers and writers but one thing they all have in common is the need to know how words work. It is never to early for students to begin recognizing patterns in words as they read and write. My students need magnetic letters to build upon their basic sight words knowledge. Students need to be able to manipulate letters to create new words and patterns. Students are having to share materials and can only use magnetic letters in small stations because the material are few and far between.
