Not every child learns the same way and not every child learns sitting at a desk all day. My students enjoy working in different areas around the classroom. Providing my students with bean bag chairs and cushions will increase the flexible seating options in my classroom and work comfortably. Flexible seating provides my students with opportunities to focus better and also provides them with more opportunities to collaborate with their classmates. Additionally, I would like to increase my library, by providing my students with quality literature that will build their fluency and comprehension to read while they are in their quiet space.
