My students are third and fourth graders with a variety of special needs. They attend school in New York State and live in moderate poverty. My students are eager to learn, but find reading to be difficult. Many of my students are reading one to two years below grade level. Therefore, they are reluctant readers who often shy away from reading. Kindle readers will help engage my students during independent reading time and allow them to learn to love reading.
