I am looking to buy an Owl Labs video conferencing camera system. We will be teaching in a hybrid learning environment for the foreseeable future. Currently, the vast majority of our students have chosen to learn remotely at home. We are utilizing Zoom to connect the students at home with what is taking place in the classroom, but the system isn't perfect. Students in the classroom currently have difficulty communicating with students at home during presentations and class discussions because they are spread out around the room and may not be close to the camera or microphone. We are required to stay separated in the classroom which makes a normal webcam hard to use. This camera system will help connect the home and school environments much more seamlessly. The camera and audio equipment built into the Owl are made to capture the entire classroom and focus on the person who is speaking regardless of where they are sitting or standing in the room.
