My students enjoy lessons that are interactive and enriching. This has supported their love for literacy. Reading and writing is becoming a hobby and students are growing academically. As a result, students are moving up levels in reading and writing. This year my students have time set aside for Reader’s Workshop and Writer’s Workshop. My students are learning how to read and write a narrative, informational text, opinion piece, and poetry. Students have set a goal to read at least 30 minutes per day by the end of second grade. The best way to increase their reading and writing stamina is for students to love reading and writing. This requires students to be engaged readers and writers. I would love to enhance my classroom with reading and writing supplies that will maximize learning for my ESL students. Also, I would love to have an assortment of writing paper and writing utensils to encourage and support these young authors. Help me give my students reading manipulatives, chart paper, writing paper, and writing utensils to make reading and writing a magical experience so that they can continue to level up inside and outside of the classroom!
