These purposeful play toys will allow students to work together to develop their social and emotional skills as they play and learn together. LEGO bricks, Magna-Tiles, and brick blocks will provide students the opportunity to let their imaginations soar while creating and building anything they can think up! The pretend food and shopping cart will give students the opportunity to play in an authentic housekeeping center. Train tracks and a village to accompany it will allow students to build and play together - devising a plan for the train tracks and then having fun zooming trains around them after building. The easel and paints, along with the play-doh will provide artistic and creative opportunities for students daily. Students will benefit from purposeful play time because it allows them to practice using their imaginations and social skills. During play, students can learn about real-life situations as they engage with one another. They build the skills necessary to successfully work together as they play. These items will benefit students for years to come.
