My students are from a rural, everybody knows everybody, lower/middle class community. Many of my students live with grandparents, other relatives, single parent families, or one income families. We are far from any colleges so don't have the advantage of working with their science partnerships. Many of my students have a strong interest in science with many questions waiting to be answered. Hands-on experiments allow them to open their minds to scientific inquiry and figure it out without just being told how it works. I'm lucky enough to have a smart group of students. I just need supplies to help me help them as they build their minds for the future!
