If a genie offered me three wishes, the first would be to put my students on a magic carpet and send them soaring. The magic is in books, where you can go any place, any time and meet anyone. Books are a place to learn and explore and discover. As a teacher, I strive to improve the reading of students who are significantly below grade level. When students struggle so hard to read, it is difficult for them to experience the magic that reading can bring to their lives. My expectations are as high as a flying carpet. I not only want them to read better, I want them to love doing it.

About my class
