My students are very computer savvy and have lots of great skills. They love to write their essays and book reports on their computers. They also like to print out pictures or information that will enhance their projects. Many times they will email themselves their papers or use their flash drives to print out their assignments in class. They love when I display their work in the classroom on our writing bulletin board or during Open House. They tend to write more when they are typing then when they would just write their final drafts by hand. We live near the Silicon Valley so technology is very important to them. We have a great Computer Lab and good computer access for students, but we lack printers for kids to print out their work. They are always asking me if we can print something out or do we have any color ink. They would love to have a couple of printers to complete our classroom.
