Joseph Kerr Knights show Effort, Respect and Responsibility. Part of that effort is to learn Social Science with 21st Century tools. My middle school students need two Chromebooks so they can to research current world geography, practice vocabulary with Quizlet, improve their writing skills with Document Based Questions, research current events, take practice quizzes via Kahoot games and relate to the world with virtual field trips (thank you, Google Earth!). My class is trying to go paperless, and in this transitionary phase, students who don't have access to technology at home are at a disadvantage. These chromebooks will go a long way to helping them, as well as my ELL and SPED students. It would be great to let them have access before school and during lunch!
