Reading is an important part of helping students gain proficiency in a new language. Having access to interesting, age-appropriate materials at the right level for a new language learner is paramount to the success of an in-class reading program. With this project, I would be able to provide my students with a classroom library that focuses on student voice and student choice. By having a variety of interesting book titles that span many topics, my diverse group of students can select books that most interest them. With this student-driven reading program I hope to cultivate an interest, a love, and a passion for reading while learning the Spanish language.

About my class
