My high energy, fun filled third grade Title One students have been identified as struggling readers. They come to me to bridge the gap in their reading abilities to help them be able to read and understand grade level material. Many of the students I work with have a hard time sitting in their seats and spend a lot of energy trying to stay seated. The benefits of children being able to move while they are working are numerous. The children are able to be in motion while still focusing on the work in front of them.
