Drone Tech I and II: the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS, commonly known as drones) sector continues its exponential growth, in all related sectors-- design and engineering, piloting, and management. From farming to logistics to movie-making, drones have become an integral part of many businesses all over the world. Drone Tech I teaches the foundations of aviation and drones including the physics related to the principles of flight, Law & Ethics of drones, history of aviation, FAA drone-related regulations, and drone careers. In Drone Tech II, students will learn about rotary dynamics and aeronautics, how to use and plot drone courses using GIS/GPS systems, advanced drone photography & videography, and advanced drone repair. Currently, we are one of the few, if not the only middle grades school in the United States offering full-time, 9-week drone classes to all 7th and 8th grade students.
