It has been said that nothing can be achieved without enthusiasm. If that is true, then my students can achieve anything. My 25 kindergarten students are the most spirited, energetic, and positive group I could ever hope to work with. It is a joy to teach them everyday. My students love to dance, they love to chant, they love to sing. They can proudly tell you while clapping and shrugging their shoulders that they will go "to and through college in 2023" or respond to the question of, "Do you think you can do it?" by pumping their fists like trains and cheering, "No, we KNOW we CAN, we KNOW we CAN." They attend a school whose mission is the education of the whole person, who strives to create a love for learning AND life. My students embody this mission. They are smart, passionate and kind. They believe our classroom to be a family, and they often groan at the thought of a weekend because it "wastes their learning time."It is hard to believe that they are only five years old!
