I have 49 awesome 5th grade students. Each one of them has the ability to grow and learn and make a positive impact on the world. I want to provide them with a literacy rich environment conducive to deep thinking and problem solving. My goal is to make sure they have the opportunity to learn from literature that is relevant and diverse. I want to help them reach their potential as critical readers and writers. Most of all, I want them to know that they matter; that what they do matters; that they have the chance each and every day to leave the world a little better than it was the day before.

About my class
