Our classroom library is very outdated. We need new book baskets and age appropriate books for fifth graders. My goal as a teacher is to instill a love of reading in ALL my students. By making our classroom library more inviting and accessible, students will be able to find books on topics that interest them and foster a desire to read! With high interest books that are new and updated, my students will have a higher level of success in English/Language Arts. In our society, citizens need to be able to read a large spectrum of materials. By adding more nonfiction materials to our library, we are providing access to those.
