My students will be able to use flexible seating like soft seats and wobble chairs to help support their individual learning needs by choosing what seat helps them learn best. By allowing my students to have a choice in where they learn and how they learn will allow them to take ownership of their learning. I plan to set up my classroom with varied choices of seating so that my students can test out each different seating style to see what meets their needs best.
My students will be mathematicians where they can explore different concepts by using hands on activities and games that will help support their learning. My students will become better at math if they are given multiple strategies and manipulatives to help provide a visual for the concepts that they will be learning and exploring. They will also enjoy math more with different math concepts in exciting math games. I also included a chart stand to hold paper so my students can have another way to access information.
My students will become better readers by having a leveled library in the classroom. I plan to create this library using the book bins. I also plan to make sure each student has their own book box to put the books at their levels that interest them in. By having a variety of books, my students can choose what interests them and continue to develop their reading levels and become stronger readers. By providing them with more options, my students are more likely to find books that interests them. My students need as many books to help them learn about the world they live in, emotions they might encounter, and things that just interests them and help make reading fun.
