What proves that we are alive? Our pulse, a constant and steady beat our heart lays down so the music in our souls can be heard! The drum set is the heart of the band, it cannot live without it. Like any foundation, mastering the skill of keeping a steady beat and creating rhythm is a difficult and gradual process, which needs to be focused on from the beginning of musical instruction. Donating a heart to our music program will make certain that my students give life to their musical training and public performances. We have started laying our musical foundation with rhythm sticks and bucket drumming, but now it is time to take it up a notch with a full drum set. Things will definitely get pumping!
