Many of my students are timid about sharing their ideas. The rest of the class can barely hear them, when they speak. Their words matter. Their thoughts matter. Their ideas matter. Speaking and listening are components of our ELA Common Core Standards. As leaders, they need to understand that their voices deserve to be heard. These seven microphones will inspire them and empower them. It will also make it easier for other children to clearly hear what their peers have to say. The entire class needs to be able to clearly hear each others' thoughts. Everyone's thoughts and ideas are valued in my class.
