Many of the students are struggling in several areas of tactile and sensory skills. Additional support with hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills development, and cooperative interplay with others in a group setting. Some of the developmental mile stones of this population is too often hampered due to low exposure to outside stimulation because of community safety concerns; as well as the lack of exposure to interactive games in the home and in their school environment. Because of the urban setting, the lack of exposure to various environmental and cultural experiences limits their awareness of types of animals, vegetation and other agricultural information that would support early language development.

About my class
