The materials I'm requesting will be put to great use by the students in my class. My fourth grade students will be studying the Florida Everglades and its' inhabitants. I plan to have my students use the Chromebooks to research the Everglades, its' inhabitants and methods of conservation for the area. They will then use this information to create a digital presentation using a program such as Prezi or Glogster. I also have plans for my students to create projects such as vocabulary posters, book reports, state reports and more on Glogster. The interactive whiteboard system will allow the students to become involved in activities such as simulated science experiments and interactive math games. Technology is such a huge part of our world and rapidly changing. The items I'm requesting will help my students stay up to date with the latest academic programs. The use of technology also helps in maintaining student focus and engagement. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will also help to increase academic achievement and help to prepare them to compete in a technology driven world.
