Our class motto is "Work First, Then Play". These thought provoking activities will provide my students with some creative and sensory-filled fun to reward their hard work. These activities will also be used to soothe students who are starting to have a "melt down". They will be able to go to the safe place and use these materials to help calm themselves down. It is pleasing to see the efforts my students put into learning, when they know that if they work first, then they can play. The Color Changing Touch Boards and the Draw and Write Touch Boards will intrigue our visual and tactile learners and will serve not only as a motivator for hard work, but also as a creative, engaging, learning tool. The Squish and Squeeze Sensory Beads are just plain fun and a great motivator to work hard! They also are a great stress reliever and can serve as an appropriate outlet for a student's frustration and anger. The Snap-Bots and Snap-Dinos will allow our student's to show their creativity and engage in imaginative play, while sharpening their fine motor skills.
