The materials that I am requesting will be put to use right away in my classroom. I teach a reading intervention class and students love to sit anywhere that is comfortable to read their books. The bean bag chairs would be so helpful for this. The opportunity for them to be in a comfortable place lets them focus on their reading and be less distracted by others. Being that my students are in Special Education, a standing desk would benefit them in so many ways. It will help them manage their fidgeting, increase mental clarity, and prevent them from distracting other students in the classroom. The whiteboards and pens are a great tool to use for math problems, as well as review games and checking for understanding. All of these things are imperative for my students' success.
