Welcome to my 5th grade! I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to two spirited groups of fifth graders in Saint Charles, IL. I have a small but cozy room in the oldest school in town. I believe that learning should be fun and exciting, and to keep my kids engaged, I use lots of innovative strategies like drama, gamification, and inquiry. My students learn to work in small teams that support each other and this grows into a class that goes beyond cooperation to a true community of learners who own their classroom and their learning, and really support each other!
