My students all have different learning needs. I want them to have a classroom that reflects those needs by offering options other than sitting at a desk. In my third grade literacy class students spend most of their time reading text and writing. The floor pillows, yoga balls and bean bag chairs will give my students comfortable options and allow them to find spaces that work for them in the room. Adding alternative seating options, will help my students become more active and happy learners, by giving them the ability to choose what learning environment works best for each of them.
