Working with students labeled emotionally disturbed can sound like a daunting task however, I have seen just how rewarding it can be. Most of my students come from a difficult past and are emotionally traumatized. My job is to bring them out of their shells and back into the mainstream all while ensuring they receive a grade level approximate education. Many students are nonverbal or struggle to express themselves I have found that iPads can be used to help them communicate and give them a voice, pads are also a very valuable tool for teaching there are many programs and apps available that aid in students learning. Having two pads for my classroom will help my students in more ways then I can say. Thank you in advanced for making a difference in the lives of some truly special kids!
