I am a proud public school educator with the Department of Education in the City of New York. I completed my education undergraduate degree at CUNY Brooklyn College with a concentration in Health & Nutritional Sciences. I completed my graduate work at Teachers College at Columbia University. I have New York State certification in general and health education; I also am a certified literacy coach. My teaching interests are humane education, differentiated instruction, experiential learning, social justice, and social/emotional learning. I currently teach mathematics to 6th, 7th and 8th grade special education students in South Slope, Brooklyn. My students are a diverse group of learners with a variety of disabilities.
