The materials being purchased in this project will be used to implement differentiated reading small groups with an emphasis on student choice. Having a round table will allow my students to sit together to complete any group activities or partnered assignments. It may also serve as a writing space for creative writing. It will be a space designated for reading and writing work. The book bins will store "just right" books for each student in my class. I will also be implementing a listening to reading option, which is what the earbuds and audiobook set will be used for. The buddy book bags and the hanging rack will store sets of books that students will be able to read to each other. These materials will add new independent learning options for students during small group reading rotations. When students are engaged in their independent activities, it allows me to teach a small group of readers effectively. Presenting reading materials in a variety of ways appeals to all learners and fosters a love for reading!
