Reader's Workshop is a time set aside each day for the kids in my class to fall more in love with reading. We learn about different reading strategies to earn new "Reading Powers" in each lesson. My hope is that their love and passion for reading continues to blossom throughout the year.
In order to continue growing as Super Readers, my students need their own special spaces for their independent and partner reading time.
While my students are excited and engaged in reading, I would like to make this time more special for them by adding flexible seating. To meet the various needs of diverse learners in our classroom, allowing them to pick their preferred seating would increase motivation during workshop.
Our classroom is a wonderful place to learn and they have come so far this year! They are highly active and love learning. They love when they can find a place in our classroom that is comfortable and fits their learning needs. . When they are able to find an alternative seat to do their work, they are highly engaged and motivated to learn!
