Knowledge is power and this project of having magazines and culturally relevant books in the classroom where students are free to read and engage in reading powerful current news will increase their brain power. Statistics prove that reading helps the brain to grow and process information more effectively. I want my students to read meaningful information that will help them in their lives and prepare them for the world. These magazines will be a part of our reading center in my classroom. At the present time, we are not able to use the library due to displacement. My classroom is the center of the universe for my students during this time.

About my class
