My 27 fourth graders are an awesome group of kids with diverse backgrounds and learning needs. They are naturally inquisitive and curious, and love to learn. With students in the classroom, my students learning could be enhanced in so many ways. So often, during class discussions or lessons, students have their own questions that they would like to pursue. Because iPads are so easy to use, having two iPads in our classroom would allow students to quickly research these types of questions on the spot, and report back to the class. This would foster independence and student-driven inquiry across the subject areas, and would teach students that being inquisitive and pursuing the answers to your questions is an important part of learning.
